Member slips, a bar & restaurant over the water, and a function hall with front-row views of the Boston skyline.
About the club
Tucked on Bayswater Street in East Boston's Orient Heights, OHYC has been home to Boston boaters for over 120 years. Our members-only bar and restaurant sits right over the water, looking across the harbor to the downtown skyline.
With 84 member slips and 4 rental slips, we're a tight-knit community of boaters, fishermen, and neighbors — and one of the last true neighborhood clubs on the harbor.
Our history
Orient Heights Yacht Club is founded on Bayswater Street, one of the neighborhood clubs that made East Boston a boating community.
On April 8, a catastrophic nine-alarm fire, driven by strong southwesterly winds, engulfs the club. 235 firefighters battle the blaze — one of Boston's toughest fires — which claims the clubhouse and fifteen boats.
Rebuilt and thriving: 84 member slips, a bar & restaurant over the water, and a second century of Sundays on the deck.

Jose's Kitchen runs a full menu out of the club bar — lobster rolls, fried seafood, and the rest — served over the water with a view of the harbor from every seat.
Come off the boat hungry, or make it the reason you stop by. Jose's also caters events in the function hall.
Function hall
Showers, birthdays, and celebrations of every kind — with big windows on the harbor, sunsets, and the Boston skyline as your backdrop.
